The Friday 5: May 13, 2022

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is it’s a dreary and rainy end to the week here. But the GOOD news is that we’re nearing the end of “pollen season” and I’m ready to start lounging and dining outdoors again! I’m feeling all the blues, lilacs, and greens this week. Have a look…

#1 Crudités Meets Floral Design

This magnificent crudités platter by @berryandtheboards has me all giddy and conflicted — I don’t know if I want to eat it or plant it!

To eat or to plant. That is the question. (Photo: Berry and the Boards)

#2 Dining With New Friends

You may have seen that I attended the very first P.I.N.K. Creatives retreat a few weeks ago in Round Top, TX. It was such a fun, inspiring, and strategic experience for me as a creative entrepreneur! One of the simple pleasures we enjoyed in between sessions was dining outdoors at long farm tables, seated on fabulous chairs by Wendy of Chair Whimsy, surrounded by mason jars full of flowers, chatting with fellow female creatives. Meet some of my new friends in the foreground, clockwise from bottom left: Sara of Simply Southern Cottage, Lisa of Heirloom Explorer, JeriLynne of The Hill Country Bon Vivant, and Mary Jo of Doodle Bean Coffee. Wendy and Sara are the masterminds behind this organization and they are incredibly generous with their knowledge and motivation!

#5 Heart Art

Juliann Lancon paints the prettiest abstracts that exude love and serenity! I envision this piece equally as relevant in a foyer or a nursery. Peruse her beautiful work here.
